Detailed Plan Breakdown:
Which Speed is Right For You? It is easy to overpay for internet if you don't know how much bandwidth your household actually consumes. Here is our expert guide to choosing the correct Frontier tier:
1. Frontier Fiber 500 (Best Overall Value) Price: $44.99 / month Do not let the "lowest tier" label fool you. A 500 Mbps symmetrical fiber connection will effortlessly outperform a 1,000 Mbps cable connection because it doesn't suffer from evening node congestion.
- Best For: Standard households of 2-4 people. It easily supports multiple TVs streaming 4K Netflix, online gaming, and daily Zoom meetings simultaneously without a single drop in quality.
2. Frontier Fiber 1 Gig (The Power User's Choice) Price: $64.99 / month This is the industry standard for modern, heavy-usage homes. 1,000 Mbps allows you to download massive 100-Gigabyte video game files in minutes rather than hours.
- Best For: Large families, remote workers who frequently upload massive video files to company servers, and competitive gamers who demand absolute zero-lag connectivity.
3. Frontier Multi-Gig Tiers (2 Gig, 5 Gig, and 7 Gig) Price: $99.99 to $299.99 / month. Frontier is actively pushing the boundaries of physics with their 5 Gig and 7 Gig tiers. However, there is a technical catch: standard consumer laptops and gaming consoles max out at 1 Gigabit. To actually utilize 5 or 7 Gig speeds, you must custom-build a computer with a specialized 10GbE network card.
- Best For: Tech enthusiasts, local businesses, and massive Smart Homes operating private servers.

The Best 2026 Deal: The Amazon eero Partnership
The biggest reason to choose Frontier over a traditional cable provider in 2026 is their equipment policy. Most ISPs charge you a $10 to $15 monthly rental fee just to use a basic Wi-Fi router.
Frontier eliminated rental fees by partnering with Amazon. When you sign up for any Frontier Fiber plan, you receive a premium Amazon eero mesh Wi-Fi system for free.
For 500 Mbps to 2 Gig Plans: You receive the eero Pro 6E, a cutting-edge tri-band router capable of pushing high speeds through thick walls and eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones. For 5 Gig and 7 Gig Plans: You receive the bleeding-edge eero Max 7, one of the most powerful Wi-Fi 7 commercial routers on the market, built specifically to handle multi-
gigabit wireless speeds.
Legacy Frontier DSL (For Rural Customers)
While Frontier’s fiber network is expanding rapidly across states like California, Texas, and Florida, they have not reached every rural town.
If you live outside of the modernized fiber footprint, Frontier still offers its legacy Frontier Internet (DSL) service. Using traditional copper telephone lines, this service delivers speeds ranging from 10 Mbps to 115 Mbps. While DSL lacks the blazing speeds of fiber, it provides essential, dedicated hardwired connectivity to rural homes that cannot afford expensive satellite internet.
Only Have Legacy Frontier DSL Available on Your Street?
If pure Frontier Fiber hasn’t reached your home and you are only offered 10–25 Mbps copper DSL, do not settle for slow speeds. Spectrum Cable operates across many of the same suburban and rural markets, offering download speeds up to 1,000 Mbps (1 Gig) with $0 data caps and free modems.
Frequently Asked Questions: Frontier Internet Plans
Does Frontier internet have data caps?
No. All Frontier Fiber plans include 100% truly unlimited data. You can download and stream massive amounts of 4K content, game online, and run smart security systems without data caps, bandwidth throttling, or surprise overage charges.
Does Frontier require an annual contract?
No. Frontier operates strictly on a month-to-month basis for residential fiber plans. There are no mandatory 12-month or 24-month commitments, meaning zero Early Termination Fees (ETFs) if you ever decide to cancel.
Is Frontier Fiber better than Spectrum or Xfinity Cable?
Yes, where Frontier Fiber is available at your address, it significantly outperforms cable providers. Pure fiber optics delivers equal symmetrical upload and download speeds (up to 7,000 Mbps) with ultra-low latency (3–8ms) and includes Amazon eero Wi-Fi 7 hardware with zero equipment rental fees.
Will Frontier pay to buy out my current internet contract?
Yes. Through Frontier's Contract Buyout Program, Frontier will reimburse new qualifying fiber customers up to $500 to cover early termination fees from their current broadband provider when they switch.
How do I choose the best Frontier Fiber plan for my home?
For households with 2 to 4 devices streaming and browsing, Fiber 500 ($44.99/mo) offers incredible value. For large families, heavy gamers, and remote workers uploading large files, Fiber 1 Gig ($64.99/mo) is the top-recommended tier. For extreme smart home and power-user workloads, 2 Gig to 7 Gig plans ($99.99–$199.99/mo) deliver unmatched bandwidth. Call (888) 217-6472 to verify exact speeds available at your street.
Stop Guessing. Check Frontier Availability Today!
Because Frontier Fiber infrastructure is laid block by block, online coverage maps are notoriously inaccurate. A map might say your city has fiber, but if the trucks haven't dug a trench down your specific street, you cannot get the service.
